Music to Calm Your Canine Companion: “Through a Dog’s Ear” by Joshua Leeds & Lisa Spector
Here’s a twist on the old adage ‘music hath charms to soothe the savage beast’ . . . well, the family dog at any rate. Pianist Lisa Spector found while fostering future guide dogs that her young charges would calm down and snooze under her Steinway during practice sessions. Thus “Through a Dog’s Ear” (Sounds True) was born. This CD’s nine tracks by Bach, Chopin, and other masters have been, in the booklet’s words, “clinically tested to calm dogs”, such as those upset by thunderstorms, fireworks and such.
Let your furry friends be the judge.
